KUMERA CORPORATION, COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENT, 15 August 2022

Kumera Corporation: Arto Lehtinen has been appointed as CEO of Kumera Corporation. 

The Board of Directors of Kumera Corporation has appointed Mr. Arto Lehtinen, M.Sc.(Tech.) (born 1971) as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. He will start in his new position on 1 October 2022. 

In his last position Arto Lehtinen has been responsible for the Water and Waste business unit at Wärtsilä Corporation. He has a strong background of over 20 years in senior management positions in the marine industry combined with international management experience in China.  

The Chairman of the Board of Directors states: “The Board is convinced that Arto Lehtinen has the right management capabilities to take up the important position of CEO at this point of Kumera’s development. In recent years, Kumera has grown solidly through acquisitions, and we trust that Mr Lehtinen will successfully lead the integration of the acquired companies into the parent company. His expertise and vast experience will inspire us all when we take Kumera to the next level.”

Mr Jukka Kyttälä, who has been acting as CEO since 2013, will retire in 2023. After the new CEO starts in his position, Jukka Kyttälä has promised to work in the company’s development tasks until his retirement. 

Mr Arto Lehtinen, Kumera Corporation’s CEO starting 1 October 2022, states: “I am proud to have the opportunity to join Kumera. Its recent growth has been impressive, and I really look forward to being able to advance the company’s strategic goals supported by the Board. I believe that my global experience in, among others, mechanical power transmission and propulsion systems will strengthen the implementation of Kumera´s strategy over to next significant stages.”
