Country Manager (Sales Engineer)
Kumera Power Transmission Group provides a comprehensive range of gearbox products for a wide variety of applications across all major process industries.
With more than 70 years of experience in mechanical power transmissions, Kumera has over 200,000 gearboxes operating in about 40 countries worldwide.
To strengthen our long-term presence in South America, Kumera Drives is looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on leader to run and develop our business in Chile.
Are you a self-driven sales professional with strong technical understanding?
In this position, you will act independently as Kumera’s local representative in Chile, taking full ownership of business development and operations. You will lead sales, build customer relationships, drive after sales growth, and ensure a strong and professional local presence aligned with Kumera’s global standards.
You will also work closely with Kumera’s local agent, ensuring effective collaboration, development of the installed base, and high-quality service delivery to customers.
This is a strategic country leadership role, combining commercial responsibility, technical expertise, partner management, and hands-on execution.
Your main responsibilities
Represent Kumera in Chile as the primary local contact for customers, partners, and stakeholders
Establish solid relationships to key decision makers especially on the site operations level but also engineering and management
Lead and grow the local business: sales pipeline, negotiations, and market development
Develop and manage collaboration with the local agent
Drive after sales business: installed base development, spare parts, maintenance, upgrades, and service agreements
Support customers with installation, commissioning, and service projects
Build and manage a strong local network
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and alignment with Kumera’s global organization
Who are we looking for?
Proven experience in sales and/or service of industrial gearboxes or similar mechanical equipment
Strong understanding of gearbox mechanics and ability to read technical drawings
Experience in working with agents, distributors, or partner networks
Ability to work independently and entrepreneurially in a country-level role
Strong customer focus combined with a commercial mindset
Experience in machine installations and maintenance
Fluent in English and Spanish
Experience in vibration analysis / condition monitoring is an advantage
